SEC-KSB has provided 4 wet winding motor reactor coolant pumps (RUVs), a backup RUV cartridge, as well as 3 sets of main feed water pumps for Unit 1. In addition, it will provide another 4 RUVs for Unit 2. To ensure the schedule, safety and reliability of equipment, it has set up special project and service teams to work with the customer.
The wet winding motor RCP, i.e. CAP1400 RUV, tailored for Generation III China advanced passive pressurized water reactors, becomes the first choice of China’s home-grown CAP1400 Project.
It has been proven to be the Generation III seal-less RCP with the highest flow, highest power and longest design life in the world.
RUV adopts the state-of-the-art design concept, with its motor winding immersed in water medium and all components within the integrated pressure boundary. The unique design concept and excellent manufacturing technique eliminate the possibility of radioactive water medium leak attributable to RCP.
